Fiber Exploring Arts
This is a book that is great for kids that are in the llama project. Some of my grandkids are in the llama project and some are not. But this book is a good starting place for kids. It has given us ideas of projects to do.
Exploring Fiber Arts introduces 4-H members to 11 art forms involving fibers and different techniques to create dazzling pieces to use, wear, and display. This guide serves as a starting point for learning several skills, pointing youth to resources, listing potential projects, and teaching the basic history of the craft. Art forms introduced in this guide are basketry, braiding, embroidery, felting, hooking, macramé and tatting, needlepoint, papermaking, quilting, spinning, and weaving.
